Well… ESC becomes a discoteque every year… It is high time to have something alternative, new and surprising I guess… Tired of POP and LOCAL TUNES… Are there any surprising entries this year? WE HAVE LUCK… Yes, there are some outstanding and surprising entries:

THE BEST THREE OF ESC 2008

12 points for Turkey’s alternative rock (Some still expect Mediterranean&Oriental tunes from this misunderstood country… They started to change this stereotyping stuff with their ESC 2004 entry Athena’s For Real…)
10 points for France’s electronic experiment (Sounds really cool and ease the soul… Well they surprise us because like Turkey, France is another country which is stereotyped… people expect “J’taime” love songs every time… I love France’s electronic music and experimental literature)
08 points for Bosnia’s synthesis of local and experimental tunes (You really get through something unique while listening this “different” and lovely music…)

The rest… Yes there are some good piece of art as well. But the ones I talked about above are really need to be observed carefully.
    Good luck to all…
